Production
Astaxa provides premium algae biomass in concentrated form – produced by a cutting-edge photobioreactor technique. The total volume of our photobioreactors is 85.000 liter. Our well established cultivation process enables us to offer standardized products for growing rotifers and fish juveniles in fresh form throughout the year.
Through scientific investigations of algal ingredients and cultivation processes different algae products have been developed. The production process is ISO certified and HACCP controlled. On a regularly basis stringent quality controls are carried out by independent laboratories assuring a safe product, certifying also the absence of toxins. Hence, the Astaxa algae are purer, safer and better.
A main emphasis is laid on the sugar free (photoautotrophic) cultivation of the algae – resulting in a low total bacterial count, preventing pathogenic bacteria from reproduction. The closed system ensures a contamination free and clean production, without pesticides and herbicides.
